Approximately 5 miles of mostly singletrack trail located on the southwest corner of the UT Tyler campus. The trailhead is on Lake Drive, just off University Blvd. This trail was designed and built by three local mountain bikers in cooperation with the UTT staff in an effort to increase riding options in Tyler. The trail is generally ridden in one direction, with blue blazes on the right side of trail, and some white wooden signs with arrows are also along the trail. The mtb trail does incorporate short sections of the disk golf course throughout. Trail is fast yet twisty and maintains great flow. Several obstacles are located along the trail including jumps, launches, a teeter-totter, balance beam, bridges, and pump sections. Elevation change is moderate, especially for the area, and includes several sets of switchbacks. Hats off to the guys who made this trail, and to UTT for allowing their property to be used in such a beneficial way.
